Into The Light

Into the Light represents a spirit hidden inside the wood, a life form being transformed from a hidden now intricate awakening. Coming to life emerging from the wood, the spirit is experiencing the light and seeing the world for the very first time. This piece expresses a soul emergence from old patterns to a spiritual awakening. It urges us into the light and opens our eyes and hearts to embrace the oneness with the world.

Unlike many figurative sculptures I have created before, this piece was challenging due to its compelling pose and my desire to create a sense of flow and movement. I feel this piece has helped me grow and evolve as an artist, allowing me to push beyond my comfort zone in order to pursue more dynamic sculptural pieces.
