This piece represents the transformation of life after death. When the material body dies, the spirit awakens to start a new journey, transcending into new beginnings.
This piece started out as a skull that a friend had given to me after their hunting trip. It was broken and they no longer had a need for it. I carried it around for many years until the vision finally came to me. The animal needed to be honored and the broken skull wanted to be whole again. It was then that the vision of the face came to me to awaken the spirit.
